The premise of this business is to provides people with information and advice on making money through doing paid online surveys, attending marketing focus groups, undertaking mystery shopping assignments and writing reviews for web sites.

The business was first established in 2003 and hosted as part of the GetLotto.net web site. It was highly successful in the early days of pay per click advertising with Google Adwords, Yahoo Search marketing and Bidsmart. During 2004 it converted thousands of leads per month for things like competitions, survey panels and other affiliate programs. As the keywords became more competitive in this space, the PPC strategy was replaced with SEO and the revenue model was amended to include Google Adsense.

This change made it necessary to move from the GetLotto domain (Google Adsense doesn't work for gambling related sites). The AusPaidSurveys.com web site was established in 2005.

The GetLotto.net domain remains primarily to promote playing Australian Lotto games like OzLotto, Powerball, Saturday Gold Lotto etc through OZLottories.

The web site (and associated blogs and social media channels) provide a review of many Australian based money making opportunities. It currently communicates with an audience of around 1000 users per month.

It's recurring costs lie in SEO through operating a link matrix of blogs, articles, social media and web site hosting. Revenue comes from Google Adsense, pay per lead affiliate programs, and points for referrals on several of the online survey panel programs such as My Opinions and Rewards Central.
